The Los Angeles offense was led by Chris Taylor, who got the scoring going early with an RBI triple in the first inning. As a unit, the Dodgers knocked in six runs on seven hits and three walks.

Clayton Kershaw made the start for the Dodgers on Saturday, his ninth of the season, and did not disappoint. Kershaw worked his way through seven strong innings, allowing just one run on four hits and no walks while striking out six batters. The win Kershaw earned tonight is his sixth of the 2020 season.

Play of the Game

In the top of the seventh inning, AJ Pollock launched an opposite field home run to give the Dodgers a 4-1 lead. But, more importantly, the home run counted as the Dodgers’ 100th home run as a team in 2020. Pollock’s home run to get L.A. to 100 home runs before any other team in baseball this season earns him tonight’s Dodgers-LowDown Play of the Game.

Player of the Game

Clayton Kershaw was stellar on Saturday night, leading the way and giving the Dodgers a very good chance to get the win. Kershaw’s nearly flawless performance earns him tonight’s Dodgers-LowDown Player of the Game.
