Post-Game Briefing
After dropping their first series of the season to the Rockies at home, the Dodgers rode a two-game losing streak into Arizona, looking to capitalize and get back to their winning ways against the Diamondbacks. Despite being streaky at times, leaving 15 runners on base over Tuesday’s 10 innings, the Dodgers’ offense managed to drive in 10 runs on 10 hits and 12 walks. Most notably on the night for the offensive unit, Dodgers rookie Gavin Lux launched his first and second home runs of the 2020 season, leading the way to a 10-9 Dodgers victory.
Walker Buehler made his first start since last week in Los Angeles versus the same Diamondbacks squad on Tuesday night. However, Buehler’s five scoreless innings a week ago were not even closely replicated this go-around, as Buehler worked through just two and two-thirds innings while allowing a pair of home runs. A late surge by the Dodgers’ offense saved Buehler from being given a loss in the scorebook in this one.
