According to TMZ Sports, Lasorda was admitted to the hospital a week ago and at one point his condition took a turn for the worse as he was hooked up to a ventilator and sedated. According to TMZ sports’ sources, Lasorda’s condition is not COVID-related and he is now resting comfortably in the intensive care unit.
Lasorda, 93, has been dealing with some ongoing medical issues and has been hospitalized multiple times in the past year so while the news that he is on the mend is comforting this is still a very serious situation.
On behalf of the staff at Dodgers-LowDown and all Dodgers fans worldwide, we send every ounce of our love, thoughts, prayers, well wishes, and positive vibes to Tommy Lasorda, his wife Jo, and their friends and family during this difficult time.
Get well soon Tommy!
