Dodgers Sign LHP Alex Wood

The Dodgers have brought an old friend back to Los Angeles. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic is reporting that the Dodgers have reached an agreement with left-handed pitcher Alex Wood.

Rosenthal reports that Wood has agreed to a 1-year, $4 million contract with incentives that can push the total of his deal to $10 million.

Wood, who turned 29 today, went 1-3 with a 5.80 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and a 30/9 K/BB ratio in 35.2 innings with the Reds in 2019.

He will serve as both rotation and bullpen depth in 2020.

The Dodgers have not yet confirmed Rosenthal’s report.
