Can the Dodgers truly dominate the next decade? MLB.com’s bold predictions reveal two more World Series wins for Los Angeles, fueling hopes of a dynasty.

Fantasy baseball is certainly one of the most fun things about Major League Baseball. Another one is trying to predict the future, and MLB had a little fun in making some guesses as to what the World Series outcomes would look like over the next 10 seasons.

MLB.com’s Bold World Series Predictions

  • 2025 – Dodgers over Tigers
  • 2026 – Mets over Red Sox
  • 2027 – Phillies over Rays
  • 2028 – Orioles over Pirates
  • 2029 – Yankees over Cubs
  • 2030 – Mariners over Brewers
  • 2031 – Mets over Twins
  • 2032 – Dodgers over Red Sox
  • 2033 – White Sox over Cardinals
  • 2034 – Athletics over Rockies

A few things stand out here.

Breaking Down MLB.com’s Guesses

First off, the Dodgers and Mets are two teams projected to win two World Series, which would give the Dodgers four in a 12-year span. The Red Sox also appear twice, but in defeat, including as the Dodgers get revenge for the 2018 World Series in 2032.

One other notable thing about the 2032 season; it could be the final season for Mookie Betts in a Dodgers uniform. He would have five rings with this victory.

The White Sox winning in 2033 will only be nine seasons following the 2024 campaign where they recorded the most losses in MLB history with 121.

When the A’s hypothetically win the World Series in 2034, they will have done so in their sixth season in Las Vegas after opening their new stadium on the Las Vegas Strip in 2028.

Lots of parody here, given that this was very likely done for fun.

Why the Dodgers are Built to be a Dynasty

Realistically, who is set up to be baseball’s big dynasty over the next 10 years?

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Dodgers as overwhelming favorites to win the 2025 World Series at +320 currently. They lead over the Braves at +900 out of the National League, while the Yankees are the favorites in the American League at +950.

The Dodgers’ core of Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman are set to terrorize baseball for the foreseeable future, making it easy to say that the Dodgers should at least win two of the next 10 championships.

They don’t appear to be done building, either.

Key Teams to Watch in MLB’s Future

MLB.com ranked the Dodgers as the No. 5 farm system in its August update. Since then, the Dodgers unloaded Gavin Lux and Diego Cartaya for Mike Sirota and Jose Vasquez.

Other teams to watch out for are the Guardians and Orioles, both in the American League. The Padres, Cubs and Mets all will have something to say in upcoming seasons, too.

Don’t forget the last 10 years, Dodger fans. The Dodgers have a record of 943-576 and a .621 win percentage, which is 54 wins more than the next-best team, the Astros, and 128 wins more than the next-best National League team, the Cardinals.

The Dodgers have won two of the last 10 World Championships, and been in the Fall Classic four times, making it to the playoffs every single season.
