The World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers have officially revealed their 2025 coaching staff, blending fresh strategies with trusted expertise as they set their sights on another championship run. Under manager Dave Roberts, the staff features evolved roles for key figures like Dino Ebel, Brandon McDaniel, and Chris Woodward, alongside a core of seasoned coaches returning to defend their title.

Key Role Changes for 2025
Dino Ebel, entering his seventh season as third-base coach, will now also focus on outfielders, adding a new dimension to his role. Brandon McDaniel, the Dodgers’ Vice President of Player Performance, steps into an official coaching position as Major League Development Integration Coach, signaling the team’s commitment to leveraging data and analytics. Chris Woodward, previously a senior advisor, takes over as first-base coach and infield specialist, bringing a wealth of experience from his earlier stint as third-base coach from 2016-2018.

Stability with Returning Coaches
The Dodgers’ coaching staff remains anchored by familiar faces. Danny Lehmann returns for his third season as bench coach, while Bob Geren, now in his 10th year with the team, continues as Major League field coordinator. Pitching coach Mark Prior and hitting coach Robert Van Scoyoc, both critical to the team’s recent success, are back for their sixth and seventh seasons, respectively. Aaron Bates, entering his seventh year on the coaching staff, will continue to work alongside Van Scoyoc as hitting coach, a role he’s held since 2023 after four years as assistant hitting coach.

Building on Championship Success
The Dodgers’ decision to integrate McDaniel into the coaching staff underscores their commitment to blending analytics with on-field performance—a strategy that has fueled their dominance. Woodward’s return to an on-field role adds a seasoned voice to the infield, while Ebel’s expanded duties reflect the team’s adaptability. Bates’ continued presence as hitting coach ensures the Dodgers’ offense remains a well-oiled machine, building on his track record of developing elite hitters.
