In his latest video, Bauer, 33, went through five stages of his career, wearing jerseys from the Guardians, Dodgers, Reds, Yokohama DeNA BayStars and Diablos Rojos del Mexico, utilizing his skills from each portion of his career to attack Eric Sim, also known as the fake Shohei Ohtani on his YouTube channel.

Sim, 35, is the former 27th round draft pick of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Giants. In 2012 he reached Triple-A Fresno for the Giants, where he had four at-bats, going 2-4 and scoring two runs. Over six minor-league seasons, he hit .230/.322/.333 with 12 HRs, 98 RBIs in 234 games, striking out 187 times.
Bauer went 83-69 with a 3.79 ERA, 3.87 FIP, 1.243 WHIP and 9.8 K/9 in his 10-year MLB career, including his final season, which was spent with the Dodgers. In Los Angeles he went 8-5 with a 2.59 ERA, 4.03 FIP, 1.003 WHIP and 11.5 K/9.

Bauer and the fake Ohtani took turns battling each otheer in different at-bats both as hitter and pitcher.
They partook in the “Shohei Ohtani Challenge,” which is where both players take turns hitting and pitching against each other. Each player gets two points if they win the at-bat. An at-bat is won by the player who strikes out the batter, or if the batter collects a hit or draws a walk. Pitchers receive one point for a groundout.

It wasn’t even close, as Bauer collected a 16-5 victory in another showcase to make a return to the MLB.
According to Bauer’s agent Rachel Luba, Bauer has received a number of contract offers from clubs from the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Venezuela, hoping to add him to their Winter League teams.
Bauer was placed on administrative leave by MLB in July 2021, and served a 194-game suspension following allegations of sexual assault and battery. The charges were dropped in 2023. Following the suspension, the Dodgers released Bauer.
