Start the Rally: Tweet This Now!Despite a nearly $475 million offseason spending spree that solidified their roster, the Dodgers were directly excluded in MLB’s “Most Impressive Offseasons” list. Could baseball’s reigning champions really be ignored ahead of the start of a possible Dodgers dynasty?
MLB Network Excludes Dodgers from Most Impressive Offseasons List
It’s not just Dodger fans that feel like the Dodgers may have had a perfect offseason, as former Rockies GM Dan O’Dowd shared without sharing via MLB Network on X.
MLB Network shared a graphic talking about the “Most Impressive Offseasons” not including the Dodgers, according to O’Dowd.
Have a look.
You’ll see some former Dodgers in half of this list, as Gavin Lux was traded to the Reds for outfield prospect Mike Sirota, Walker Buehler signed with the Red Sox and Joc Pederson signed with the Rangers.
But the focus here is the “not including Dodgers” part.

By our count, thats nearly $475 million spent by the defending World Champions, coming in specifically at $474,640,000 given out to pad the team’s roster.
This is what it takes to keep the foot on the pedal, and baseball is noticing.
But can baseball just ignore the Dodgers?
No.
Why the Dodgers are Really Making an Impact
The Dodgers will be your newsmakers for years to come. It’s great to call attention to former executives highlighting the Dodgers without directly giving them the spotlight.
Terry Francona is a fantastic coach, but will he lead Lux and Brady Singer to a ring over the budding Dodgers Dynasty? It’s possible, but not likely. Vegas doesn’t think it’ll be this season – giving that potential honor to the Braves, Mets and Padres, in order.
Neither of those teams are included on O’Dowd’s list.
Who is Dan O’Dowd?
O’Dowd guided the Rockies to the 2007 World Series behind Todd Helton, Matt Holliday, Troy Tulowitzki and Ubaldo Jimenez.
That 2007 season was in the midst of the “dark ages” for the Dodgers. The Rockies qualified as a Wildcard team with a record of 90-73.
Sitting 7.5 games back of those Rockies were the Dodgers with a record of 82-80.
But their time is here now. Could you imagine winning the West with a record of 90-73?
This Dodgers team in 2025 has an over-under projection of 103.5 wins according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Just how good is this team is to be learned shortly, and how far baseball executives will go to ignore it will be seen even sooner.
