Video: Dodgers’ Kenley Jansen Shows Off Bass Guitar Skills, Jams to Stevie Wonder

Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen is off to a great start this season, and made the most of his day off Thursday, showing off on his Instagram that he has some guitar moves as well.

See it for yourself as he plays some Stevie Wonder!

The 33-year-old pitcher has a record of 0-1 and has converted six out of eight saves with a 1.76 ERA, 1.174 WHIP and 4.47 FIP. His strikeout numbers have fallen from 12.2 K/9 to 10, but so has his the amount of hits he has allowed, going from 7.0 H/9 to 2.3. However, his walk rate has more than doubled from 3.3 BB/9 to 8.2.

Jansen made a tweak in his pitching motion during the postseason in 2020 and has carried it over into the 2021 season.

Could playing the guitar be a second secret to Jansen’s success?
