The MLB arbitration filing deadline arrives tomorrow, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up to exchange salary figures with their remaining five arbitration-eligible players. This key offseason milestone will help shape the team’s financial outlook for the 2025 season while avoiding potential arbitration hearings in February.

The Dodgers began the offseason with eight arbitration-eligible players. Agreements were reached with Dustin May ($2.135 million) and Tony Gonsolin ($5.4 million) before the non-tender deadline. Additionally, Gavin Lux was traded to the Cincinnati Reds earlier this week to alleviate an infield logjam following the acquisition of KBO star Hye-Seong Kim. Lux’s trade brought back outfield prospect Mike Sirota and a Competitive Balance Round A pick (37th overall) in the 2025 MLB Draft.

The five remaining arbitration-eligible Dodgers include key bullpen contributors and promising pitchers. Evan Phillips, the team’s projected highest earner, is estimated to receive $6.2 million. Michael Kopech is projected at $5.2 million. Brusdar Graterol is expected to earn $2.7 million. Southpaw relievers Alex Vesia and Anthony Banda round out the list with projected salaries of $1.9 million and $1.1 million, respectively.

Avoiding arbitration hearings is critical to maintaining strong relationships with players. As Spring Training approaches, the team’s ability to finalize deals amicably will be crucial. Arbitration hearings can disrupt team dynamics, and the Dodgers have historically prioritized pre-hearing agreements.

Fans can expect updates on any deals or disputes as the deadline approaches. The Dodgers are all about boosting player performance and keeping their options open for the future, ensuring they’ll be in the game for the upcoming season.
