Here’s a quick look of today’s news prior to tonight’s Dodgers game.
- MLB announced Kenley Jansen as the Dodgers 2019 nominee for the Roberto Clemente award.
- An MRI today on Justin Turner’s ankle revealed a mild sprain. He’s listed as day to day. Dave Roberts mentioned he could play in the Mets series this weekend but doesn’t foresee him playing the 1st game, tomorrow.
- Scott Alexander had surgery to address the nerve issue in his left hand. No indication that he’ll miss any playing time in 2020.
- Rich Hill will start as the “opener” with Tony Gonsolin set to pitch the majority of the innings.
