Here’s a brief recap of the days Dodger news prior to the game.

  • Justin Turner is not in the starting lineup for today’s game against the Padres due to his back tightening up yesterday during batting practice. Edwin Rios was seen working out with the coaches at third base, so he may see reps at that position either today or in the next few days depending on Turner’s condition.
  • Corey Seager was pulled from last night’s game due to his hamstring acting up. It was said to be a precautionary move and it seems they’re continuing to be precautious as he’s not in today’s lineup in the final game against the Padres. He is slated to start the series opener against the Giants in San Francisco tomorrow.
  • Last night, Kenley Jansen recorded his 300th career save. He’s the 30th pitcher in the history of baseball to do so but only the 5th reliever to do it with the same team.
