September 29, 2019Here’s a brief recap of the days Dodger news prior to the game.
- Last night the Dodgers won their 104th game. They’re one win away from tying the franchise record of wins with 2 games left in the season.
- The Dodgers hit back to back home runs for the 17th time this season. That set a new National League record in a season. The all-time record is 18.
- AJ Pollock was hit by a pitch on his leg in Friday nights game against the Giants. The team took x-rays and it came out negative. He said it hurt for the first hour after being hit but felt a lot better afterward. He’s not in the starting lineup for today’s game but he’s available to pinch-hit.
- Bruce Bochy announced Madison Bumgarner will not make his scheduled start on Sunday. He didn’t announce who will replace him.
- Justin Turner may not play another game this season but he has been active taking swings in the batting cage. There will be a simulated game this coming Tuesday and he’s expected to participate.
- Dave Roberts reaffirmed Joe Kelly will make an appearance in Sunday’s game.
- Today’s game is on local television in Los Angeles. KTLA channel 5 will be televising the game starting at 1 pm.
