Here’s a brief recap of the Dodger news prior to the game.
- Last night the Dodgers won their 105th game of the season. That ties the 1953 Dodger squad for the most wins in a season in franchise history but it sets a new record while the team has been in Los Angeles. They can set a new record today with a win against the Giants in the final game of the season.
- Hyun-Jin Ryu will finish the season with a 2.32 earned run average which the lowest in baseball among pitchers that qualify for the ERA title. He will be the ERA champ for 2019.
- Joe Kelly is expected to pitch today.
- Justin Turner will not start today. No word if he’ll play in any capacity. He’s still expected to participate in a simulated game on Tuesday.
