With the World Series concluding last night and today being the first official day of the offseason, the Dodgers make their first roster move by adding left-handed reliever Victor González to the 40-man roster.

González, 23, has been in the organization since 2012 when he was signed as an amateur free agent out of Tuxpan, Veracruz, Mexico. The Dodgers made this move in order to prevent González from becoming a six-year minor league free agent. This move also protects González from being selected in the Rule 5 draft in December.
This past season, González went 5-2 with a 2.31 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a 93/32 K/BB ratio in 89.2 innings between Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Double-A Tulsa, and Triple-A Oklahoma City.
