Free-agent third baseman Anthony Rendon has been actively engaged with multiple teams this winter and according to Buster Olney of ESPN, one of those teams is the Dodgers.
Some high-ranking executives believe that the first big-dollar free agent who comes off the board will be Anthony Rendon, who has already met with teams. Rangers, Dodgers, Nationals, maybe others in play.

According to Olney, the Dodgers are the second team that Rendon has met with in the past week with the Rangers being the first. Olney also reports that Rendon is apparently open to the idea of a 5 or 6-year deal with a higher average annual value.
Could we see the Dodgers sign Rendon to a 5-year, $175 million ($35 million AAV) or a $5 million, $200 million ($40 million AAV)? It certainly seems possible considering the Dodgers and Andrew Friedman were willing to give a similar type contract last winter to Bryce Harper only for Harper to elect to sign a 13-year deal with the Phillies.
