Andrew Friedman revealed that signing Bauer was a goal for the Dodgers when the offseason began, he just didn’t know how realistic it would be. Andrew Friedman said Trevor Bauer was “front and center” for the Dodgers when free agency began. The trust and credibility through research and information was there. From a cultural standpoint, “He will be a tremendous asset” in reference to Bauer’s future moving forward.
Andrew Friedman on the Padres' aggressive offseason: "We've definitely noticed what they've done. We're going to do everything we can to maintain our position."

Bauer revealed he was excited for this moment, he was a long-time Dodger fan, and would attend games as a kid with his father. He hopes to pass that passion on to kids who will be in attendance just like he did.
Bauer admired the organizational structure and talked to a lot of people associated with the Dodger organization, he didn’t hear a negative thing, it’s a “first class organization” and the “talent on the field speaks for itself.” His goal is to help win a World Series. “I want to win a World Series. I’ve come in second both in college and the big leagues. I’m tired of it.” Off the field, he acknowledged he has made mistakes in the past and will learn from them.
Signing with the #Dodgers wasn't about the locale and returning home to LA, Trevor Bauer says, it was "all about the organization.''

Bauer is good friends with Rob Hill, he talked with Walker Buehler, Alex Wood, and Justin Turner to get a good insight on if the organization was a good fit. He wanted to be here and is very happy that it fit together perfectly. Bauer wants to be a positive number in the clubhouse and accomplish something great.
Andrew Friedman would not definitively say if the #Padres moves this offseason motivated the Bauer signing, but he added "We've definitely noticed what they've done." #Dodgers

Bauer has not had a conversation about pitching every 4th day just yet. In Spring Training there will be a conversation. He believes it’s not selfish, but thinks it will better other guys in the organization and knows it’s up to the management but looks forward to that conversation.
Champs reloaded.

Andrew Friedman remains committed to re-signing Justin Turner, assuring that the Bauer addition has no effect on their current negotiations with Turner.
Andrew Friedman says that the signing of Trevor Bauer doesn't have an impact on bringing back third baseman Justin Turner, praising Turner for what he has meant to the organization, while stressing they still are hungry for another World Series title.
