Vegas Sets Dodgers Historic 2025 Win Projection

The Dodgers are rewriting the history books before the 2025 season even begins, breaking sportsbook records with their win projections.

The Dodgers Projected Higher Than All Teams Since Last Dynasty

In case you’re counting, there are 53 days left until the Dodgers open the 2025 regular season at Tokyo Dome against the Cubs.

DraftKings Sportsbook has released its over/under estimates for win totals in the 2025 season, and the Dodgers are estimated to finish with the highest projected total since the 1999 Yankees had an over/under projection of 104.5 wins in 1999.

If you bet $110 on the Dodgers to win over 103.5 games, or 104 wins or better, you will win $100. The same is true if you bet the under on 103.5 wins for the Dodgers. In other words, the over and under are -110 odds at 103.5 wins.

This sets a new record for DraftKings Sportsbook’s historical projections. Here’s their top five:

How the Over Fared in Projecting Top Teams in the Past

As we know, the 2020 season was shortened to just 60 games. The Yankees were projected to win 63 percent of their games in a full 162-game season.

They only won 33 games, finishing seven games back in the AL East to the eventual American League champion, Rays. You know the rest of the story, but the Dodgers wound up taking those Rays down in the World Series.

Winner here, the under.

You would have been a winner going over on the Dodgers in 2021, though. This was the season they won 106 games and did not win the West, missing out by just one game.

They got their revenge in the playoffs, though, taking the Giants out in five games.

It’s back to the under for the 2024 Phillies, who won just 95 games, falling to the Mets in the playoffs.

Back to the Dodgers, and the over wins again in 2022, as the team blew up for 111 wins despite an upsetting finish.

Trends are your friend in sports betting. The over is 2-2, while betting the over on the Dodgers is 2-0.

At a projection of 103.5 wins, a roster that should be much improved and healthy, it should be pretty obvious that the recommendation early on is to take the over on 103.5, up from 98 wins a season ago.

Oh and by the way, the 1999 Yankees disappointed, winning only 98 games. Including that metric brings the over prop to 2-3.
