Tyler Glasnow has had quite the offseason, touring Africa after he celebrated a World Series championship with his teammates, including a fun team bonding outing at Mookie Betts’ amazing house.

His road to recovery is looking good, too. Glasnow touched upon where he’s at in his program, and his thoughts on his future with the Dodgers.

Glasnow, 31, started in 22 games, and went 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA, 0.948 WHIP, 2.90 FIP and 11.3 K/9 in 2024 in 134 innings pitched before getting placed on the IL on Aug. 11 with right elbow tendonitis.

Glasnow on his recovery from injury:

“I feel really good. I’ve got MRIs and everything is good. I’m doing all the rehab stuff towards end of the year, and then like working with the Dodgers and doing all my lifting and everything like that. The second MRI I had was really good, and didn’t show anything. My arm feels great. I’m starting to throw right now, so I’m pretty optimistic for next year. I think I’m gonna try and go through this offseason and kind of rewrite and figure out what I can do. Like what I’ve done in the past that I could change to just try to switch some stuff up to like deload or maybe to go a little bit more into long toss with not so much effort and like try to change a couple things to try and minimize the stress throughout the year.”

Glasnow on his progress throwing a baseball:

“Yeah, I threw for the third time today. It was like 60 feet today, and it feels good. My timing feels good. Arm feels good. So hopefully I can keep going. It’s hard to tell now you gotta keep going and going, but I’m not super worried about how I feel.”

Glasnow on the team’s plans for bringing him back to the mound:

“It’s not something we’ve really talked about yet. I don’t know who’s going to pitch at the beginning of the year, but I went and did the Korea opener last year, so I don’t know what their plan is (for Japan this season) and all that, but it was me and Yamamoto to start the year. So having an early Spring two years in a row, I’m sure they’ll come about that a little differently, but I think as I get closer to Spring, I’ll have an idea of what the plan is exactly for season. We haven’t really had any sort of talks like that, but my progression right now is a lot slower than it was in the past. I’m going to try and really ease into throwing for the first month, get everything solid, and not ramp up into full speed so quick. Like try and use Spring Training to feel everything out and just try to prolong it throughout the course of the year. Then find ways to deload and not stress my arm all year long.”

Glasnow on how hard it was to not pitch in the postseason, and his thoughts on the future with the Dodgers:

“It sucked. I’ll be here for a while, and our team is going to be really good for a while too, so I’m looking ahead. Hopefully we can get back to the playoffs this year and go back to back. It’s been a while since someone’s done it, so I think that’s the only goal right now. Well, not the only goal, but like what I’m thinking about the most. Just go in and help my team as much as I can and participate in the postseason.
